Donate unwanted items to Blue and Gold Mine Sale

Members of the campus community can drop off unwanted items at donation stations in Morgantown to support the sale beginning Monday (April 29) through May 8. Acceptable items include, but are not limited to: furniture, clothing, appliances, décor, sporting equipment and electronics. Items must be in usable condition.

  • City utility, road work on Downtown Campus to start in May

    The City of Morgantown and Morgantown Utility Board will begin projects on North High Street beginning May 6, coinciding with the end of the University’s spring semester. During Phase 1, North High Street between Maiden Lane and Prospect Street will be closed to replace a water line. Phase 2 of the project is expected to begin June 1 with the paving of North High Street.

  • WVU advises caution after black bear report at Core Arboretum

    The West Virginia University Police Department is issuing a Community Notice advising caution after a black bear was reported in the Core Arboretum Tuesday afternoon (April 23). Officers immediately responded to the area and canvassed the trail but were not able to locate the bear. If you encounter the bear, call 911.

  • WVU celebrates year of achievements in academic advising, student success

    As West Virginia University marks Adviser Appreciation Day today (April 23), results show investments designed to enhance the University’s academic advising community and culture are paying off when it comes to student success.

  • Fint-Clark named Buswell Award winner

    Rebecca “Becca” Fint-Clark has spent much of her life involved in community and civic engagement. In recognition of her outstanding accomplishments, Becca Fint-Clark will receive the Mary Catherine Buswell Award on April 24 from the WVU Council for Gender Equity.

  • Open Enrollment important reminders and resources

    The Open Enrollment period for Plan Year 2025 for WVU benefits-eligible faculty and staff will continue through May 15 — your only opportunity to make changes to your elected insurance benefits for the plan year without a qualifying life event. All changes for Plan Year 2025 will be effective July 1.

  • Community invited to Champagne for SANEs fundraiser

    The WVU Council for Gender Equity will host its eighth annual event from 4-9 p.m. tomorrow (April 25) at Table 9 to benefit the West Virginia Foundation for Rape Information and Services’ Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner’s Fund.

  • Passing of the Rifle Ceremony set for this week

    Mikel Hager will officially pass on the rifle and Mountaineer mascot responsibilities to Braden Adkins during the Passing of the Rifle Ceremony Friday (April 26). A reception will be held at 5 p.m. in the Mountainlair, Vandalia Lounge, followed by the program at 6 p.m. in the Gluck Theatre.

  • Registration open for Kid’s Night Out

    Your child is invited to join Campus Rec for a fun “summer camp experience” during the school year from 5:30-9 p.m. Friday (April 26). Open to children ages 5-12, Kid’s Night Out offers a positive and affordable opportunity for children to interact with peers while parents/guardians enjoy an evening out.

  • Stop by spring mini market

    The market, sponsored by the Division of Student Life, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday (April 24) outside the Mountainlair. Local vendors will offer a variety of items.

  • Celebrate WVU Adviser Appreciation Day

    Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to come out and celebrate WVU Adviser Appreciation Day today (April 23). There will be plenty of opportunities available to show your appreciation in person and virtually to those who help ensure WVU students are successful in and out of the classroom.
